About the mix
House Mix 005 is a 1-hour, 27-minute jackin house music mix of groovy, soulful and tech house.
Jackin house is about the groove. The drums stay tight, the basslines roll and the vocals carry the room. This mix keeps that feel from start to finish, with labels including Defected, Toolroom, 8Bit, Snatch!, Cécille and Saved.
It opens with the Groove Assassin’s Supernova edit of Hallelujah In Heaven on Defected, then moves into two tracks from Crusy on Toolroom and 8Bit. Harry Romero appears twice, on the Quentin Harris and Dajae remixes. The middle runs through Snatch! Records, Rekids and Skint, with Raw Silk’s Do It to the Music.
From about an hour in, the Franky Rizardo remix of Charles Pierre leads into the St. David Club Room remix of Good Music, then Johnny Fiasco and MANT on Saved. It finishes on the David Morales Def Vocal of Jimi Polo’s Living For The Love Of You.
