BIIANCO drops life-affirming joyful cut this Friday

Multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/DJ/live artist BIIANCO, their career ignited in 2023 by insane viral success – 35mil views, charting in 20+ countries, 200k+ fanbase – and still rising at a meteoric rate, will drop another unstoppable single ‘When Tho?!’, out November 22^nd on Ultra Records.

Recent standouts for the queer partially-sighted performer include a veritable takeover of Amsterdam Dance Event with a ‘How I Play Live’ masterclass inc. live acid bass & sampling to a packed, rapt audience; a smoking B2B w. Maruwafor Untasted at the Crane; and performing their massive hit/collab ‘Touch My Body’ with Club Heartbroken label boss Marlon Hoffstadt at Gashouder. Viral triumphs aside, London-based, LA-trained BIIANCO has more than paid their dues with over a decade perfecting technical brilliance, music theory, and the ability to blow the roof off a dancefloor.

Speaking of which… ‘When Tho?!’ is a life-affirming, joyous slice of dancefloor attack, euphoric and energy-packed, with an arpy bass, insane beat, melodic synth tune speeding up dangerously, all topped by BIIANCO’s husky, cool vocal, almost intoning the ecstatic lyrics – ‘can’t remember when I felt this alive’ – and rising to belt out the refrain with urgent power, all of it with diamond-sharp production values.

As well as the original version a Beatport/digitally available, non-streamed ‘Warehouse’ mix will mop up any stragglers with a longer, harder, faster take, the vocal more chopped and instrumental and less lyrical, the melodic synth taking over the monster breakdown building to a driving drop and full-on charging to the triumphant conclusion. No one will sit this one out.

‘’When Tho?!’ was the first song I wrote and produced after the whirlwind release of ‘Against The Wall’’ BIIANCO says. ‘I suddenly had hundreds of thousands of eyes on my socials and it was all moving really quickly so I wanted to write something that was grounded both sonically and in the message of what I originally loved about this music — the feeling of being free on the dance floor (the same message as Against The Wall).  My favourite line in the song: ‘When’s the last time you felt alive?’ I wrote as a way of keeping myself centred so that every time I hear that lyric, I ask myself that.
